The date that is derived from Leland's statement that "twenty years ago" Section 31 discovered that the Klingons were researching time travel would place it in 2237. However, since the Klingons attacked Mike Burnham and Gabrielle Burnham in 2236 as a result of the Daedalus Project, it is ambiguous as to exactly when, but it would have to be before the attack in 2236.

Presumably, Mitchell was younger than James Kirk (born 2233), since Kirk was an instructor of Mitchell's. The two men did not seem to be different enough in age to suggest Mitchell might have been born in the 2240s.

Presumably, Dehner's stardate of birth being only a few digits from Mitchell's indicates the same time period.
