Nederlands: De opname is gemaakt tijdens één van de twee verzamelexpedities die het Tropenmuseum in 1970-1971 ondernam ter voorbereiding op de grote tentoonstelling in 1971-1972, getiteld 'Samo. Een Afrikaans Savannevolk in ontwikkeling'. De expedities duurden elk drie maanden en werden uitgevoerd door de heren J.T. Broekhuijse en F.M. Cowan.
Een soortgelijke opname van deze man staat ook afgebeeld in de catalogus bij de hierboven genoemde tentoonstelling met het bijschrift 'Voor de muzikale begeleiding van feesten wordt wel gebruik gemaakt van de muziekboog' (1971: 12 en 13). |
